#11

pulled one good exhaust valve, guides look the same, don't think piece chipped / broke off there. noticed intake side of cylinder lighter in color than 2 good cylinders. looked at intake manifold and injectors. pictures show difference. bad cylinder is lighter/ much more carbon buildup. colud this have happened after valve bent ? don't think so , but i'm not a mechanic, engine was run maybe 30 minutes with bent valve (son's house to mine, buddy said bring it over, he'll fix it (he didn't) please take a look

Does the piston have marks on it?
If the exhaust valve wasn't closing, the cylinder wouldn't be able to properly pull fresh air in. That could be the reason for the different color in the runner. Another reason could be a lack of EGR gases making it into that cylinder as it is the rear most runner in the intake manifold.

thanks swartlkk, i don't drive the blazer, jay does. i don't know how it was running before it ended up on side of road. compression could have been low on that cylinder before and just got way worse (zero). what about the carbon on that injector ? did you see the photo ? seems to be very different.
