you should buy delco or msd but i dont know how these engines react to msd

Decided not to give up the blazer. If its the ecu, its only $130 new...and someone offered me $200....bleh....no thanks....

Its probably the ignition control module under the distributor cap , you can have it tested but I have seen them test ok and still be bad .

ive been told its the computer itself...so not sure who is correct.

mine was doing the same thing for months couldnt figure it out took it to a shop and they had it 3 weeks and it finally did it to them was the pick up coil and icm

dang...ive already got the ecu out..and now two people say its the icm...where is this at on the vehicle?

the icm is located under the distributor cap and rotor

and it should look something like this



if its bad make sure you replace it with delco

ok. got it ordered, along with a new cap and rotor. wanted to work on that before work, but my sister took the car keys and left the car at home...GRRRR....

So, once the snow stops falling, i need to put the computer back in place, and re-attach the ignition coil and then tear into the dizzy.

Thanks for all the help guys, id be VERY LOST without yall!

Oh, and in the pic above...it looks like it slides into place...how do i remove and install?
