Smae place on all S10's. Under the hood on the passengers side. Its held in place by 3 bolts, if memory serves me correctly. Squirrel cage is held in place by a nut, and there is a wiring harness.

Why are you replacing the blower motor?
Do you have any speeds, or are you missing either high or all the low speeds?
The more common problem is the resistor, and its located under the hood next to the blower motor on the engine side of the HVAC case and its held in place by two screw with bolt heads, and a wiring harness. Pull it out and you should be able to visually see if its blown.

The blower motor is feed by two circuits. One is all the lower spe eds and one for full blast. Check your fuses too.

if you look at the diagram in this thread, inside the airbox right next to the fender you have to cut the airbox open to replace it there is lines that say where to cut also you have to remove the computer the coolant overflow tank thebattery trayand the inner fender skirt( easy takes 10 minutes) you need to remove the skirt because you need the extra room to pull the motor out of the airbox. There is a how to on another site that I saw that he claims you have to even remove the fender but I have done 2 97 and a 99 and neither required removing the fender the 99 I didn't even take the skirt off.

xmradioguy... Would be nice to just link to the thread where I posted that image HERE... I would hate to move the image in my account and update my posts only to find that someone else posted the same link...
