bottom end sound
Hiya all, first post in here and found a font of knowledge already with other issues that my truck is having... First lemme shine some light on the specs of my recently aquired truck
it is a 1996 Chevy Blazer LT, 160k miles, 4.3L vortec V6, 4wd, 4 door
I replaced radiator, tranny cooler and termostat( some schmuckmixed Gm dexcool with prestone <_<
, and placed a new CAT on and the O2 Sensor( And that was a fight and a half)
Now here is the problem I am having
Just noticed a sound recently coming from underneath the floor boards the almost sounded like I had water sloshing around where the tranny hump and firewall meet... I parked the truck and hopped underneath while giving the truck some gass from the accelerator and i find out the sound is coming from the bottom end of the engine. I havn't been able to get under it with the help of a jacks stands or ramps, but it is more a clunking sound, but a smooth clunk... its really hard to describe :P
EDIT: Also when I accelerate from take off, at lower rpms i can here it, but it doesn't when at a steady pace
If anyone can help me I so would greatly appreciate it
thank you

I checked the fluid levels for the tranny and the oil just earlier today, it isat the full linesand the tranny fluid is still pink and translucent and the oil is still a nice amber color... So if that helps
if you pull in and out of your driveway back and forth, you should hear it sloshing near the radio area, try to see if it is coming from that area. if it is, you can take off your radiator cap with the car running and let any air bubbles come to the surface, this may help you
I just took the truck out to drop off a friend and had him listen in as well and it was on the passenger side close to the firewall below the dash where the radio is, so i will try to take the cap off and see if that works
tyvm all for the help so far
