Default cooler lines

replaced the radiator in the blazer this weekend and the one i got has the jesus clip fittings into the radiator but the tranny has the flaired 3/8" nut on it. tried all the parts store and lowes etc and cant find the right fitting to switch it over on the radiator side.
does anyone know the chevy part number or where to get the fitting to switch it on the radiator side from the clips to the flaired nut?

thank and love the site so far a lot of usefull info!

Can't you just remove the quick connect fitting from the radiator and thread in the flare nut?

the fitting in the radiator is 1/2" female and the fitting on my hardline from the tranny is a flaired 3/8" male. i just cant fine the fitting to reduce from 1/2" to 3/8" flair. i can cut the hard line and just use fuel line but cant get the corect thread size and count (1/2" 20")

What are you working on? Did you get the proper radiator for your application?

So you need a 1/2" male inverted flare to a 3/8" female inverted flare fitting... Something like the Dorman 499-003 (box PN containing 10 parts) which is a 1/2-20 thread to a 3/8-24 thread and is a brake line fitting, but I'm not sure if it is appropriate for your application.

Or, something like the Dorman (Everbrass) 1739 which is a male 3/8" quick connect to a 3/8" female inverted flare connector.

shawn51773, how did you make out with your problem?

lucas30, depending on what you are driving, they could be threaded into the transmission or quick connect fittings. If it's a second gen, they will be quick connect where you may have to pull back a little plastic cover, then remove the 'e' clip from the fitting. Once the 'e' clip is out, the line can be pulled out.

Thank you Swartlkk I belive my blazer it's second gen, is 01 blazer LT 4.3 vortec. I change the radiator before and I see the clip you taking about so they had "e" clip by the radiator and by the transmission. thank you so much for you input..
