You did have the rotor pointing towards the firewall both times, not away from it one time and toward it the other? Need to be sure.
Aaaaah, so the later models are different from my '91 in this respect?

What does spec 0 +/-2 degrees mean

Sorry just understood your request. Yes it drops to 1.2 when I rev above 1500 and let off

Yep, later models have a hold down that locks it in place. Later models are completely different fuel injection system (apples and oranges)

Excellent job!! Now you are done with that distributor!! The spec means that anywhere between -2.0 and +2.0 is just fine.

Now do a "Clear Faults on ECU".

then evaluate and report
Is SES light off with engine running?
is Security light off with engine running?
How does it run?

No security light or check eng

But p0300 comes and goes as i refresh the screen. Which is consistent with how it runs. It runs smooth but then it will start vibrating with a slight drop in rpm not on the gauge but the sound.

Im not concerned though. You fixed it.

Probably we aren't done yet!! But getting it running and starting on it's own fuel injection was a big milestone. Sometimes it takes a lot of effort, especially through the Internet. Without a success once in a while, I would just pack it in and not bother anymore. The difference here is that Blaz_r really listened and tried to follow exactly what I was saying without getting distracted by YouTube or Facebook or skipping steps - searching for the easy way out, or pain old giving up. Very few will do what he did. So hopefully he will stick around so we can get his Blazer running as it should.

I know where to go and who to trust. In this day and age that is more valuable than gold.
