Default Delayed Start

So I just my battery the other day with a red top and I went go start up and the starter sounded like it was struggling to turn the engine over, once it does a full turn the engine starts up just fine. Is this a battery not pushing out enough CCA or is it the starter going?

if it worked fine before I doubt its the starter........maybe a loose connection........could try charging the battery.

Ya I figured that, but the battery has been in for about 5 days now, wouldn't it have been fully charged by now? I even checked the charge on the battery and it siad 13.9v while the truck was running so I thought it would be good by now...

Check the voltage when the truck is off...

Or get it load tested.

Double check your wire connections, make sure they're in good.

I haven't checked in a day or so but last time it read out to 11.6v seems a little low to me. I'm going in tomorrow for some new connectors and see if that helps at all. If that doesn't work I'll just have to take advantage of that lovely warranty...

Well I took it in to the store where I bought it and they tested the battery and it read off a dead cell!! They replaced it and I got my nice clean start back. Thanks for your help guys, I really appreciate it.
