I am changing out my fuel pump, i got an idea how to do it, but does anyone have a step by step description on how to do this just to cover my bases as i go along with this?

I dont know of a how to on the web site here. But, you can go over to autozone and set up an account with them and they have some good repair guides with specs on most items on the trucks.

I it is not hard to do...but, it is recommended to have as little fuel in the tank as possible. If you have a truck you can, take the bolts outta the bed and lift up the front of the bed and support it with some 2x4's or do as some others and lift it up on the drivers side to get access to it. Or just drop the tank.

Make sure you de-pressurize the system before trying to remove the fuel lines and change the fuel filter while you are at it.
