I want to know what effect does flame retardant has on your engine. my engine was sprayed with the shop extinguisher after a fuel line fire and now i am having all kind of engine problems

 

well assuming it was the powder it can get into everything. did you clean it after?

 

Some of that stuff is really corrosive. Clean wiring and check contin uity. PITA but you'll be better off for it. Wouldn't be a bad idea to rent a steam cleaner for a day.
