Default Engine sputters when pedal is pressed

Hello, new to the site, I recently purchased a '97 Blazer with the 4.3L Vortec, it ran great for a week but today it was really running weird, it has a slight miss when at an idle, it accelerates ok but when I step on the peddle to get into it the engine sputters and it sounds like it wants to stall. I don't have any engine codes.

A quick note, it has 7 gallons of fuel in it that was left out in a can that was left in the rain so there may be water in the fuel, I'm not sure what the symptoms of that would be though. Any help would be great, thanks!

Is there a way to test it? Autozone wants $65 for a new one.

I have a 99 and I had the same problem for awhile when I would first start it, It would start missing and usally dies unless I gave it some gas. But I just put new plugs in it and it runs almost perfect now. But sometimes when I first start it and try to drive the motor will sputter and then kinda bogs down. But if I let off the gas and try again it gos. But most people have told me its an injecter problem.

Also If the gas you have in it is old and has been out in the rain that could be your problem.

Well, I'm gonna assume for now that it is crappy gas, it has not acted up at all and I have about 50 miles on it since last night. Thanks for the responses!
