Default Engine swap help?

I have a 2000 Blazer 4.3L that the intake gasket failed and it was not shut down in time. Motor is not locked up but does have busted rod/rods. I have exhausted my means of searching for what years motors will work in this blazer with no definitive results. Is there a website that gives compatible year motor swaps? Most 2000 motors I have found have really high miles or unknown miles. I do have a lead on a 2004 xtreme blazer 4.3 with low miles, but cannot find info if that is a compatible swap for my 2000. Any and all help/info will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,
Matt.

2000 is sadly a single year. Others close will work, but sensor stuf etc might be a tad bit different.

You can use any year short block from 96 and up then swap your top end with new gaskets.ON the 2000 block I think the knock sensor uses a larger hold so check that.If this is indeed the case dill and retap the hole to match size.

U can use a newer motor, if u go 2002 & up u will need to reuse your intake manifold! Oh and u will need to drill and tap the block to accept the older style knock sensor...it's a 1/4 not thread btw....& if memory serves me right the 2001 & up sensor take a 8x1.50 ? U cab make it work....I bought a 98 motor that was rebuilt & put it in my 2001....only issue was knock sensor...

Ok so the knock sensor is an 8x 1.25 !!! Not 8x 1.50 as I earlier stated::

Thank you everyone. Found a 2000 GMC Jimmy that had been in a rollover accident with acceptable miles on it. I plan on replacing all gaskets along with plugs and wires in this swap, any recommendations to anything else I should check/replace while doing this swap?

I would do intake gasket, front main seal & of course rear main!!! Crap I just retread your post....lol u are replacing all gaskets???? not a bad idea at all!! How many miles this got on it???? I scored a motor from a 98 that was remanned by Marshall engines with less than 40k!!!! I went & looked it over real good and reassembled it and shot a few coats of Chevy orange on it!!! Of course the usual thermostat, water pump, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, distributor gear was worn!!! Make sure u look at that real good!!!! u probably will want to change out your motor mounts!! I had one come apart and other wasn't far behind it at least flush your oil cooler lines....as well!!! I just bought new ones....another $30
