Default Greasing vacuum hoses?

Is it alright to put some kind of lube on the rubber hoses? I'm about to start assembling after my intake manifold project and they were a pita to get off.

Most rubbers do not react well with most petroleum products unless specifically stated. If you have a problem getting the new hoses on use water instead.
