hello all, yeah im gonna do it, this is about mpg [:'(].
i've got an 02 2dr blazer 4x4 4.3L auto. havent had it very long. I've searched through all the threads and stuff but i wanted to post anyway. Im used to 4 cylinder fuel mileage and i just wanted to know what a community of blazer owners thought. heres the scoop:
159,xxx kms.
New plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, clean air filter (k&n intake, not too much oil), just cleaned map, new front diff fluid, new tranfer case fluid, new rear end fluid, thermostat, huge brake service (no stuck calipers, sliders all clean adn greased, brackets all good and cleaned up), alignment a1, been using supreme gas and ran injector cleaner.
I live in new brunswick canada, and it's been a cold cold few months with tons of snow (got 45+cm yesterday [:@]) and i have 31x 10.50 bfg a/ts on it.
iI've been using cruise on the highway (i know its a dumb idea for fuel mileage) so im not going to figure that out but in town (startup/shutting off, starting + stopping, cold weather, 6km drive to work etc) i went 50km and it took 9.97L. thats about 12mpg. I know this isn't a good acturate test so far but im just wondering if i should expect around 12-15mpg in town on 31's? I am going to change my diff fluids to a synthetic soon,my 02 sensors are readingfine and my fuel trims are normal, but i am just wondering if this sounds about normal or should i start digging for issues. Thanks!
