Default Hot water quick connect manifold hole stripped

First off this is on a '93 TBI 350. My blazer is no longer in this world unfortunately but you guys are a good source of info so I figured I'd ask.

I just did the intake gaskets on my '93 Suburban and was going to put the quick connect fitting back into the manifold. Turns out the threads are stripped. Dunno how it happened but it needs to be fixed. Any ideas on how I can do this without doing the job I just did all over again? I was hoping I could maybe just chase the threads as the bottom half of the threads still seem to be there its towards the top they were sheered away.

Thanks!

often the cheap white metal connector kind of disintegrates

Napa sells a kit with the proper thread chaser PIPE thread tap KIT #77-4029
It includes a easy out to remove left over connector , drill bit to clean up the hole and the tap
Same as this one

Is it safe to drive with the hole plugged?

Yes, but you will also need to plug the port that the other heater core hose hooks into.

Yea I did that. I'm just trying to figure out why I lost all oil pressure on the way home. Wanted to rule this out
