Default How to run brakes on supercharged motor

Hey guys, new to the site as well as motoring period. I have a 1989 v10 blazer and just put a 450 ish hp motor(still got the stock tbi holding me back)i found a fabed up tbi supercharger kit with boost reference control unit and a spacer plate that has 2 bosch style injectors. first question is how to run the vacuum line for the brakes. A friend suggested hydro booster but it seem like a lot of work. The tbi sits on top of a twin screw supercharger so instead of hydro boost could I put a spacer plate with a place to screw the vacuum line in right underneath the throttle body on top of the sc? Pre sc should be enough vacuum to run brakes right? I know it sounds getto but any info will help thanks

Yep... When the supercharger pulls air through the throttlebody, there's normal vacuum right after the throttle plate.

All due respect to this site, I think you need to get all the info you can from a site like

Hydro boost just sounds a lot harder and more expensive then adding a spacer plate with a vacuum line Pre sc. what are the benefits of hydro boost if any

Yes, you will need to run the vacuum for the brakes on the low side of the supercharger. The TBI should have a fairly large port on the front of the unit that normally goes to the PCV not sure if that would work for you instead of adding another plate. But you are on the right track.

Hydroboost has way more clamping pressure.

I have it on my 87 blazer just help with the bigger tires. Its on my 78 nova cause the cam in it. I have $150ish in each setup and both stop better than they did factory.
