installing lines on the trans
Hey everyone I have run into a snag trying to install the transmission lines on my 4L60e.On the side of the trans the holes have threads and so do the ends of the lines.I have read that these use a specialy quick release connection but mine doesnt seem to have them.So I started trying to thread the lines into the holes but cant get them to start for nothing. Are there brass fittings that screw into the side of the trans that the lines are supposed to screw in?If so what size are they? Thanks

the quick connect fitting is just a little clip seen here > Cooler Line Fitting Retaining C Clips 4L60E 4L65E 4L70E 4L80E 4T65E | eBay
It holds the line into the fitting, it would be increadibly hard to thread the line into the trans with the fitting still on the line.

Gosh its been so long since I had this thing back in I havent a clue of whats going on.I know I had to cut my lines which I planned on splicing back together with compression fittings.I wonder if Im using the wrong end of the lines to put in the trans ,I`ll have to check that later today. If this is the case some how the other half of my lines that connect into the trans have got lost and Im either going to have to make new ones or get some old ones off another vehichle from a bone yard.Does anyone have a pic of what the fitting on the front of the line looks like?
Newguy I found a pic of the connector you are talking about and you are correct. Conclusion Im missing the front part of the lines.Maybe they are around here somewhere,I hope so.
