If you are talking about the intake manifold itself (what mounts to the cylinder heads)... They should physically bolt up, but the fuel systems and engine controls are quite a bit different between the two models. A TBI vehicle runs off of a low pressure fuel system (8-10psi) while a CPI vehicle runs off of a high pressure fuel system (50-60psi). Not only would you need to swap out the computer, wiring harnesses, etc, but you would also have to swap the fuel pump and the fuel lines themselves.

Yes, it should work. There were various changes in the block through the years. Check out THIS ARTICLE which details these changes.

It'll work.
I put a '85 carb motor that had a TBI unit on it into a '93 with a CPI unit.

A few pics of the process.
NOTE: the '85 4.3 came from a full size truck and has a two piece rear main seal. Since the 4.3 with a two piece rear main seal was never offered in a S10, let alone a 4x4 S10 the factory never made a oil pan for my situation. I had to fab one up myself. you wont have the oil pan problem. I added the note so you dont get confused and stress ofver the oil pan issue I ran into.
