Kinetik Batterys and the engine bay of my 96 ls
Ok, so im in the market for a High Output alternator and a new battery, since my system stole the power from my battery, ran that to the ground, then the battery brought the alt with it.
I want to get a kinetik under the hood, but I want as big as possible...heres the thing though, my car is in a different state, and I cant really measure the distance..and i dont really have accsess to a car battery either...
So does anyone know the biggest possible kinetik battery (or LxWxH) that you can fit in a 96 blazer 4 door ld engine bay? Im willing to make minor mods to fit a bigger battery, just dont have any crazy tools...
Also, any links for 300 amp alts for a 96?
Thanks!

my suggestion, for time and money, is to go get a set of the semi 150 amp one wire alts (150 each) one will go in stock spot and one can placed somewhere with a universal kit for race cars and such (10-15 bux at a auto shop) then run a medium kinetik in front and a big one in back
It was my understanding that the only reason I would need a second battery is if I wanted to play the system with the car off...I dont intend to do that, so I dont really need one do I?
And that does sound a bit more complicated then buying the single alternator I linked to and replacing the stock one doesnt it?

as long as youve done the big 3 upgrade that alt. should be alright, boomtruck97's idea would prolly be best tho reason being that the battery up front will power ur blazer like normal and have no affect on ur system while the battery in the back will be exclusively for ur system and have no ill effects on anything else such as dimming lights for example. it may be alil more complicated but atleast u know its done right and wont have any problems plus i think itd look pretty sweet to pop the hood and see dual alternators sittin there.
