Default maf code

I have a 2001 blazer with the 4.3 engine and 170,000 miles. It has been running terribly for some time and getting worse. It stalls and hesitates when you apply foot feed and acts like it has a bad case of the hiccups. The local auto parts store checked codes and found a mass air flow code. I changed the sensor with no change. However, if I disconnect the sensor the truck runs fine. Does this indicate that my connector is bad or is there a problem with the computer. I'm so sick of throwing money into this truck and hope for a meteor to fall out of the sky onto it. I have replaced the fuel pump 6, yes 6, times. Any help would be appreciated.

Try looking in here https://blazerforum.com/forum/tech-a...agnosis-26408/ at P0101 & P0102 codes for the volts that should be at the connector.

I'm not much of a mechanic. Do you think replacing the connector would fix the problem?

Possibly, I mean if you replaced the MAF instead of cleaning it (which is fairly easy to do) & you still have a MAF code, try changing the connector. They should be under $10 & get the codes from the local parts store, they're important in diagnosing what the issues is.
