Default manual 2000 zr2 engine removal

I'm still unable to seperate my engine from my transmission after removing the engine to bellhousing bolts. I've disconnected all hoses, wires, mounts, and braces. It is my understanding that i shouldn't have to disconnect any bolts mating the flywheel/pressure plate to the clutch in order to pull the engine out. Does anyone have any suggestions what might still be holding the engine up from disconnecting from the transmission? I wiggled and jerked the heck out of it while it was lifted by a picker, but there is no give from front to back.

The dowel pins. They like to freeze up in the bell housing and can be a royal pain to get loose. Spray some penetrating lube on the joint at about the 3 & 9 o'clock positions if looking at the bell housing bolt pattern from the front or back.

I'll give that a shot. Thanks.

I'm not sure if it was the penetrant or me pulling itwith a truck chained to the cherry picker, but i finally got it to give way. Thanks again.
