Might have a trans problem soon...
My '98 LT 4x4 has 200k+ miles. The trans was rebuilt around 10k ago. I just noticed that if I power brake it and barely squeal the tires and let off of the gas... Then give it gas again it makes a swoshing sound lightly and then it slips. My wife drove around 10miles in 4low last winter on dry pavement (I'm lucky it even drives). What's everyones ideas? Reverse is fine. So I'm hoping it might just be a pressure solenoid or something. It does smell like they used the cheap trans fluid in it from the rebuild. But it's still red and clean. I just noticed it after I got back from a test drive from changing the u-joints. I'm just afraid that having my 31's on it and when I get a full load of drywall on my trailer in a month... That I might run into problems. I know it just pulled 1 ton of gravel less than a 1/4 mile twice 2 weeks ago.
