If you are already hearing knock, the odds are that simply replacing the bearings ain't going to cut it. Something else has probably worn out of round or gotten scarred. Were you running low on oil?

Default yeah yeah.....

yeah i know weekend gone and passed but it was horrible weather this past weekend an there was no way that i would be able to work outside on this thing the way it was.

to the other reply earlier on this page, no there was no oil pressure loss or anything like that. the previous owner did a rebuild of the motor and i am almost certain this guy is an idiot. more than likely he just threw everything back together. i will however be taking a very VERY close look at everything else on that crank to make sure it isn't scarred, if so i guess i got more work ahead of me...

after many days of procrastination and just pure stupidity of not knowing how to do this without a lift I am glad to announce that I have begun work on the truck. I will try to keep it as detailed as possible and include pics. Of course however I am sure that i will end up doing everything the hard way so probably none of this will be any good to anyone... LOL. Either way pics will be posted later tonight once I can get my other comp working again for me.. (vista)

so far i didn't get to much done however i think that i at least know my gameplan on how to get everything done. my dad came up this weekend and so far i started to look at the book and noticed that one of my thoughts were "if i could just get this front differential out of the way i could get it".... well the book even says one of the things you got to do first is remove it... i am positive that if i can move the diff out the way i will have it removed so i started up on removing the front axles so i could pull the diff. got the tire off and hub nut and working on the cv's ...i found that you can split the diff housing and unbolt the passenger side front axle and you will then have the necessary space to remove the oil pan. find that out tomorrow.

ok, new problem, i am replacing motor in my 95 blazer, 4wd. everything is ready to go but am having trouble getting to top bolts holding tranny to motor. how do i get those out

Remove the tranfer case and transmission cross member and drop the tranny down alittle then use a long extention .
