oil cooler
Called the local chevy dealership today to ask if there was a towing package installed from the factory.
I have an 94 4x4 vortec 4.3 s-10 automatic, W coded. The parts department said that there was an oil cooler, but no transmission cooler on this truck. I asked where the oil cooler was. His response was the oil cooler was inside the radiator. How can I verify this info?
This site rocks!!!!!!!!!!

The factory oil coolers, if equiped, are in the driver side (hot) tank of the radiator. If you have lines running into the driver side radiator tank, then you have the factory cooler. If not, then you do not.
And you do have a stock cooler for the transmission which is located in the passenger side radiator tank.

This morning I traced the lines from the front of the remote filter into the radiator.
I do have a factory oil cooler in the drivers side of the radiator. The casing of the lines are covered in oil residue. I am going to spray those down with engine degreaser.
Thank you again for the correct information.
