Just My Opinion here,, Drive it. But you MUST do the Filter Change SOON.I am not saying that just the Flush, fluid and fillter, will take care of the problem,,, could be Deeper Problems, But Hey,,, when was the last time it was changed anyway? T.J.

Ok. Thank you. I will certainly do those recommended repairs as soon as I can find out that the deeper problem will not be above $750.

Can anyone else also give me the OK to drive the car to work & school without turning a "small problem into a huge problem"? Everything functions normally except for the occasional jumping of the RPM gauge. If I didn't have to wait 2 weeks to get it checked out I wouldn't put any further wear on it, but I want to try sticking it out and getting her fixed up.. However I certainly can't be without a car for 2 weeks.

Hey guys,

So I'm taking the car in Friday morning (pray for me please ), but have a 100 mile (give or take, round trip) work trip tomorrow afternoon. I noticed a kind of "hiccup" when the tranny shifts gears, but not TOO bad. Do you guys still think I'm OK to drive it? Drive & reverse still work perfectly fine, just that little "lag" when the car changes gears.

Thanks.

EDIT: I think the best way to describe the problem I'm noticing is a little "pause" when the tranny shifts gears... Mostly with 1st to 2nd, then not so much from 2nd to 3rd or above.

Hi, I'm going to follow your suggestions as well. I have a 99 GMC Jimmy that showed a P1810 error code on the diagnose machine.
The car doesn't have any problems shifting, it is running smoothly Just the engine light came on.... and I have a highway trip planned and no mechanically experience. Have to get it serviced and do not want to get taken advantage of. Thank you.
