Default Post catalytic converter pipe size.

Any help is appreciated.
My truck is being held hostage at the inspection shop as their repairs were not successful in giving my 10 day extension to run the monitors to pass. (evap leak set a second time while trying to run monitors)This was back in March. They told me to just drive it to get the monitors to run, but the last 2 to finish were the AIR system and the converter. AIR pump tests fine in the bay test, but my converter is rattling and setting a code for efficiency, so I just want to replace it and be done. Has anyone replaced the rear CAT and can you confirm it is 2 1/2" or 3"?
Is it just as simple to cut out the old and weld in the new? (13" universal replacement from Magniflow? C.A.R.B. certified of course)
Thank You!!!

I believe coming out of the cat it is 2.5", then narrowing to 1.75 by the muffler.

Thank you El_Beautor. I plan on stopping by Wednesday to measure for sure. I forgot to mention my truck is a 2001, California emission. If all sizes are smaller than 2 1/2" I'll get the converter coming and buy the adaptors locally. I do have a welder thank goodness.

With your reply I found this link titled "Pipe size for Catalytic Converter 99" Converter size from another request.

I will post when I get this done for future questions.

Yeah, I'd trust Swartlkk's information from that link over almost any other regarding the Blazers and S-series trucks. He knows a lot.

Your information is just what I was looking for. I just wanted to post a good replacement parts list if possible, but my search did not show much in detail.
