I'm sure it has been discussed but I can't seem to find it anywhere.
I have the chance to pick up a 4.3 motor out of a 95 AWD Astro Van. This will drop right into my 95 Blazer, correct?
I guess while I have you here, any pointers for doing this motor swap? This will be my first time changing a motor in something other than a motorcycle. Anything I should look out for?
Thanks.

I believe this should be the same as your truck... I would have a look at the motor first to make sure that there were not differences in the intake.

Supposedly it's a direct swap. You might need to check the oil pan and oil cooler line stuff and swap them over, though.

Thought I'd post a follow-up for this...
Here's a few things that were different. That I remember...
-Air intake plenum. (Van motor one didn't have the place to attach the brake vaccum line)
-Distributor (Van wasn't the enhanced distributor)
-Timing chain cover and pick-up under it. (because of the different distributors I had to swap the Blazer stuff onto the Van motor)
-Knock sensors and locations (they were different or at least one of them was I can't remember)
-Remote oil filter assembly (had to use the one off of the Blazer, Van didn't use a remote set-up)
-The coolant hose attachment at the thermostat (Different angle between the Van and Blazer)
-Motor Mounts

Thanks for the follow up. I figured that some of the sensors and other bolt on things would be different.
The vans have a hydro-boost setup for the brake booster which uses pressure from the power steering pump to assist the brakes.
