Rebuild in Future, Worth it?
That question really depends on the extent of the wear. If your motor is just getting tired, you may be fine with re-ringing it and throwing new bearings in. If it has significantly lost compression and/or spun a bearing, you may need to have the crank turned and the cylinders bored which will require a machine shop. When you build the motor back up after either of these, you will need to get the appropriately sized bearings for the crank and larger pistons/rings. When properly done, the engine will be like new again.
