If you take the core support out of the way then yes, you can take it out all in one. Thats actually the fastest way to remove the engine because you dont have to worry about getting the bell housing bolts.

fuel lines, brackets hold them to the transand engine as well as cooling lines. Wire harness. Shift cable from trans. remove ac compressor and power steering pump seperate and leave them in the truck. You can remove the exhaust manifold how ever you want, from engine or leave them on engine and take them off the pipe it wont matter much. I just pulled the engine out of my 96 jimmy and wish i had done it all as one. I had to cut a hole in the firewall just to get a bellhousing bolt... PITA

Lol yeah i learned the hard way too.. Your only other option is lifting the body off the frame 2 inches to have a smaller PITA.

But to add to what Andrew said, remove the steering shaft (where it attaches to the steering box, one bolt and it slides off and out. Saves a headache later), remove drive shafts, transfer case (unless theres room to take it out attached?) It sounds like a lot of extra work but if you dont have the proper elbows, extensions and short sockets you will be at the bell housing for a couple days. On top of what we said, there are lots of other small things that we cant remember so take your time, check check and recheck that you removed everything before you start pulling on the engine.
