Default rough idle, fowl odor

My 2003 Blazer 4.3 6 cylinder is ruining bad, check engine lights on, checked to codes and it said random misfiring. Changed spark plugs wires, and still has rough idling. When I drive it shakes, and has a poping noise. Please if anyone can tell me what it sound like is wrong with it I would greatly appreciate it,,thanks.

The foul odor could be a sign of a clogged catalytic converter. This can often be described as a rotten egg smell.

Yes the odor does smell something like a rotten egg. How can I go by resolving this?

If the catalytic converter is clogged, replacement is the resolution. You can confirm that it is the issue by disconnecting and removing one of the O2 sensors between the engine and the catalytic converter. There will be an exhaust leak which can be loud and it will set a code for the missing O2 sensor, but it should run and the alternative path for the exhaust to flow should restore power.

Is this what's causing the random misfiring.
