I have used seafoam in my truck quite a few times great product. But my engine seems to stall out as soon as you pour it down the carb but have never had any problems with it not starting back up.

yea im prob gonna get the spray kind and try it that way. it might of been that clean bc i did an intake about 5 thousand miles ago and the intake was nasty with carbon all over it and i cleaned it all back to metal but i was sure there was more carbon everywhere but i dunno, it did make it run butter tho so i guess ill just leave it at that for now

i have a 1999 blazer 4.3vortec . i just put 4 ounces of seafoam in the oil crankcase. drove it around for 15 miles and noticed the idle is smoother i thought my engine was off it was so smooth. i checked the dipstick after and the oil didn't turn super dark yet. but we will see what color it turns after 100 miles then i will do a oil change. the reason why i tried this is because my oil pressure seems kind of higher than normal and the engine would give off a bad smoke smell under the hood when the engine is cold . maybe its my pcv valve . we will see if it goes away because i never had this problem before and the burning smell goes away when the oil pressure lowers a bit when the engine warms up. my theory is the engine is dirty inside or the pcv valve is not working correctly to vent the combustion gases inside the crankcase or valve covers. maybe someone can give me some advice

I wouldn`t do it.That`s just my opinion. After you do this procedure..I would clean the spark plugs. They will be fouled out after it`s all said and done. This would be a good time to replace your plugs while your at it, if you didn`t already replace them.If you do decide to replace them.Take a look at the (Torque Master)spark plugs @extreme spark.com.I had these on my 81 chevy malibu 350 5.7 liter 11yrs until I sold her.You don`t have to worry about gapping and regapping them. It`s not made like a regular plug. They are kind of pricey..$11.00 a piece plus $9.00 flat shipping charge.I have them on my ride as we speak.

I guess he should have looked how old this was before replying but going the brake booster route with the 4.3 doesn't work the best, it only gets the back 2 pistons, you need to get the spray can and go straight into the intake. I did the same thing on my 95 Sonoma. Was like holy crap this motor is clean!! After reading more I realized i had done it wrong... 🤣😂😐
