Unhappy Shifts hard from reverse to any other gear

I have a 2002 blazer ls 4x4. I bought this vehicle in november 2012 and when I got it it always had shifted a little hard into reverse. I never really bothered to check it out, But now I have a problem. I usually don't back my car up into my driveway but for some reason lately I have been, my driveway is on somewhat of a slant. I woke up this morning to an oil stain right beneath my differential about 1 ft long and 3 inched wide of a stain. It looks like it was pouring out because there is splatter marks around it. The weird thing about this is that I looked under the car, no sign of oil leaks ANYWHERE. Im so puzzled right now, Then I started the car up and realized more. Whenever I shift into reverse it makes a loud clank noise and jerks the car hard. When I shift out of reverese to any other gear it also clanks hard. Now if I put it in park then shift directly to drive or neutral if shifts fine. It has to shift through reverse to do it. I had a friend shift it while I was under the car and the noise sounds like its coming from the transfer case, although I can see the whole trans jerk when he shifted. Im wondering is my rear differential low on oil? Or is a bearing bad? Or could it be trans problems... Itr just weird that over night it leaked a bunch of gear oil and now its shifting hard. I understand that there is other threads on problems like this but I found non of them useful.. I really need to get this fixed, its my only means of transportation. Any help is appreciated. This is just really bothering me especially since there is no sign of an oil leak anywhere. Thank you for reading.
