Sputter when shifting
I have a 96 Blazer that when its cold it sputters or hesitates when shifting. Mostly between 1st and 2nd. Acts as though its cutting out. When its warm its fine. Could it be a vacuum leak somewhere?
Numerous reasons could cause this. Is your check engine light coming on? Does it have a steady idle? Vacuum leak would be present at idle usually.
Things to check, proper fuel pressure, clogged fuel/air filter, fuel electrical system, plugs, wires, uneven cylinder head pressure, ignition system, vacuum leaks at throttle body, intake, and brake booster line. as well as all vacumm lines.

Did you ever find out what was causing this issue. I'm having the same problem.
