Purchased a chilton manual hoping to determine the location of the starter motor on my 97 vin W blazer.
I have a no crank condition and thought checking for 12v at the solenoid would be a good place.

If someone could let me know where I can l locate the starter I would be really grateful.

crawl underneath the blazer,look at the right side above the y pipe (exhaust coming from the engine) its up in a tight spot.

 

between the engine and the transmission on the passenger side Right by the ypipe
