Default hard start and bad timing idle 94

i bought a 94 ,4 dr,vortec 6, 4 days ago,it sat for a year before i bought it,77000 mi,i changed the oil and antifreeze, didn,t purge the radiator and next day temp gauge was stuck on hot,so i figured bad thermostat and changed that,to get to it ,you have to pull the rubber cowl off the air intake and that has a sensor in it,when i put it back together i had troubl starting it,it just kept turning over for maybe 45 sec and then it starts, when its running at idle it sounds way out of time and the exhaust stinks,it was running fine on the first day before i changed the antifreeze,i puged the radiator and changed the sensor in the air intake hose ,the temp guage is back to normal but the idle, starting ,timing problem remains

Coulda damaged the MAF sensor...unless that's the sensor you're talking about with the
and changed the sensor in the air intake hose

I believe that would be the air temp sensor.

When was the gas changed in teh tank?
Fill it up with 93 octane, add a can of seafoam to the tank and run it on that. Sounds to me like you have crap in your fuel system that you need to clean out.
