Default Swapping transmission and t-case

I will be swapping the trans and t-case here soon in my '98 LT 4x4 (found used both for 300) and I need to know if, when I remove the transmission, I need the same transmission code or if I can use a different one that won't screw with the computer. I don't know which transmission code will interchange with what. It is still in the vehicle all connected so I can't access the tag or the stamp on the bottom of the extension.

I'm not entirely sure, it's from a boneyard in Wichita.

1997-2001 will work as long as the 97 has the bolt on bell housing. Same engine size. Look for year on tag.Swapping transmission and t-case-7eb4515e-6cf2-4ecb-8a39-58d17b6cfe8f.jpeg
