Default Throttle body plastic intake adapter with crack in it

I have a 1996 blazer 4wd 4.3l vortex engine. Check engine light came on with a p0420 code. I found a crack in the plastic intake adapter, the one that sits on top of the throttle body. So my question is: What is this plastic adapter called and where do I buy one? Thanks

I would call it a plenum. I am currently parting out a 96 and may have one available.

go to any local junkyard, the s10/blazer/jimmy/sonoma trucks are pretty common to find there, grab one from there, though be sure to check that they didn't change the design on the one you would buy. If you want a new but expensive one go to LMC truck online they should have one.

MRtaylor,

Did the replacement of the plastic plenum take the P0420 Code away?
A follow up would be appreciated.

Thanks Mark K
