Default tranny question

I am attempting to replace the tranny filter on a 92 s10 blazer 4wd, but can't seem to get the pan down with the limited space in there. is there something else I should remove to free up some space?

Default RE: tranny question

You'll probably have to remove the transmission cross member. Start by supporting the transfer case on a jack, relieving some of the weight from the cross member. Then unbolt it at the frame on both sides as well as at the transmission mount.

That should give you the room you need.
