trans line leak

Default trans line leak

i have a 2000 blazer and the lower radairter trans line is leaking. it is the type that slips in and the c clip holds it in. can i replace just the fitting or do i have to replace the rad also or is there just a oring i can replace thanks

I have never seen one leak, but there is an o-ring inside that seals off on the nose of the tube when it's installed. It's a pain to get out and almost as hard to get back in. You'll need a VERY small right angle pick to get in there and behind the o-ring to pull it out. It's possible that you just have something in there preventing the seal?

thanks . can i remove the fitting or is it not removeable? i cant tell if it will screw in and out .

Since its the lower, I would bite the bullet and pull the radiator. Flush it while your replacing the oring. Couple hours of work

Yes, the fitting can be removed/replaced.

I wasnt aware you could pull the filtting out. 4 Blazers and never tried!
