Transfercase/tranny issue.

Imeant 4h to 2. clunking to the point of losing your axle doesnt sound very normal especially since its a new sound.
Ive read some blogs pointing to encoder motors actuators and transfer case fuses. Don't know which one makes more sense to correcting the issue...any suggestions?

So 4HI to 2HI then? If so then that is not normal, I would agree.

There is no 2LO. And the transition from high range to low range (or low to high, but mostly from high to low) will often produce a clunk. All depends on what you are experiencing. Your ability to communicate those experiences to us is what will ultimately dictate whether we can be of help.
