Default Transmission Fluid Question

I just bought a 97 Blazer with 115k on it. The transmission seems fine and the fluid is nice and red. Should I change the transmission fluid, by dropping the pan and replacing the filter and gasket? I doubt the previous owner had it serviced... Which is more risky changing the fluid or leaving it?

Default RE: Transmission Fluid Question

If the fluid is nice and red, then it was probably changed already. If you want to change it again, that is your call. If everything is working properly and the fluid looks good, there may not be a need.
