Default Transmission installation

1995 blazer 4x4 4l60e. I am trying to install a transmission in my driveway, I jacked up the blazer high enough so I could slide tranny and floor jack under the frame and then lowered it back down leaving me the bare minimum to work under there and the tranny is still about 6" to low to bolt up. I could rent a tranny jack but I don't think I could lift the blazer high enough to slide it under. any idea's. I wasn't the person who removed it so I don't know what they did.

Lift the trans up as high as you can using your jack. Support it on blocks of wood and/or jack stands at that height. Lower the jack. Build a suitable support out of wood that will allow you to raise the transmission up to the proper height using it between the jack and the transmission.
