Default Transmission swapping

Ok got a question, I highly suspect it will be a no but I won't know till I've asked.

Would the auto transmission from an 86 2.5L " S10 hook up directly on a 88 4.3L auto blazer?

That's all I need to know. Thanks.

Default RE: Transmission swapping

I believe that the 2.5L I4 has the same transmission bolt pattern as the 2.8L v6 which is not the same as the 4.3L v6. The 4.3L is a 90* V engine and shares the bolt pattern with the v8s.
