Transmisson issues
I am hearing a whine from under my '03 blaze (4wd). It gets louder as I go faster (above 40 mph). the sound disappears if I put the vehicle in neutral. There is no sound in 1st gear. It begins in 2nd gear on up. Shifting seems fine, and fluid level is correct. It is getting worse by the day.. Any ideas?

That is correct - It shifts smoothly. I have manually checked the drive line, and there is no detectable looseness in the u-joints, and allows no movement at the differential. The fluid levels are full in the transfer case and diff.
