Doesn't seem to make a difference...that I can clearly tell (not scientific). But the Service Engine light has finally come on, and I can smell the faint sweetness of transmission fluid. Time to take her in.

Yeah, if that's the case I'm probably looking at a rebuild, eh?

Depends on exactly what the problem is,If theres internal damage to the clutches, steels and you have burnt fluid which would be a good indicator of that yes.
If its the torque converter No just have it replaced along with changing the fluid and filter.

Awesome, thanks. I'll make sure I bring that up. We'll see (if they can fit me in tomorrow AM).

Well, in the shop. Waiting on word...so far, it's gonna be anywhere from $900 to $2700. Definitely debris in the fluid...

$2700 to rebuild the trans plus the R&R is absurd.I have a trans guy shopw owner will do the job for $1200.He`s the best in town.

I know it's rape. But everything in Los Angeles is absurdly overpriced. What's really unfortunate, is a recent family tragedy has forced my hand as I'm out of town.
