Weird oil dipstick reading

Most likely 5 quarts in that 305. Have you tried cleaning that dipstick at all?
Try getting some "Sea Foam" or even Gas, rub it down a few good times and let it dry then see what it reads.

Hm I didn't think of that. I just wiped it off with a paper towel assuming that was enough. I'll have to try that, thanks.

Anytime man. I had a friend who was actually waxing his car, when he was finished he decided to check his oil.
Needless to say he got some of the wax residue on his dipstick because he used the same rag to whipe it off. It really threw him off for a while. it was pretty funny though.
