Default Where to find an engine oil dipstick

Hey guys,

I can not find anywhere online that sells an oil dipstick for a 98 blazer ZR2. Anyone have any ideas on where to get one. The one that is in it has a yellow pull handle and is not the right one. It doesnt seal right and it reads about 4 inches above the max fill mark.

Thanks

Any Blazer would have the same dipstick. From '98 and up the engines are identical. No difference in engine between the regular Blazers and ZR2's.

If I recall you have the aluminum oil pan. Any s-series 4x4 with an aluminum oil pan will work ( truck or suv).

There was only 4 different dipsticks for these things (with a 4.3).

Stamped steel
1) 2wd
2) 4x4
Cast aluminum
3) 2wd
4) 4x4

After that if it reads high then you are over filled.

Awesome, thanks guys, I will check the junkyard. I changed the oil. Put in 4.5 quarts and it reads 4 inches higher than the highest mark so I know it is the wrong one.

On 4.3L Astro & Safari with aluminum oil pans, the dip stick is waaaaaay too long just an FYI when you go to the boneyard.
