You gotta have your case hogged out for the bigger bearing for the female input as well. I bought a LoMax kit cause I didnt have room for a doubler cause Im using a late model long shaft SM465 with a 32 spline input gear on the 205. I wouldve had a 2 foot rear driveshaft. You might try the LoMax kit from JB conversions. Its 1200 bones but I love mine. Money well spent. Its 3:1 instead of 4:1 but with a K5 wheel base you dont have alot of options
You need to take your yoke and drive shaft to the parts store if your not familiar with U-joint sizes. It could be a 1310 , 1330 , or a 1350 series joint on either end. Did you try the other yoke? Yes a slip yoke will pull out of the case and a fixed yoke is fastened to the rear output shaft with a nut. I run 85/140 in mine, any kind of gear dope will work just fine. You can run mud and water in a 205 and it still perform. They are bulletproof. If it were me I would just buy a yoke for the back of the 205 so that If you have a breakdown you can go anywhere and get a joint and dont have to pay 26 bucks for one. My 2 pennys
so when your talking about slip yoke output? fixed rear output? slip yoke, does that one just pull out of transfer case? and fixed rear yoke? it is bolted in to t case?! all the u joints fit in all places, except to rear of t case! so as of now i'm looking for a combination u joint! napa here in town said they could get one, i need to measure! to see what size i need! wonder if there is a standard size in the 205? what will the shift pattern be again? 4hi? 4lo? 2hi? what kind of oil is used in 205's? 90w tranny fluid? thx

thanks for all the info! helped out alot! i took output shaft fm 203, and put it into 205 along with the combo u joint! everthing is hooked up and running! but now tranny is going out! it doesnt want to stay into gear and doesnt want to shift right! so now have to change tranny! thanks
