what type of carb would yall throw on this?

Horsepower: 400
Torque: 435
Fuel: 91 Octane
Heads: Cast Iron - 624,882 Castings
Valves: 1.94/1.60 - SBI

I'd use whatever you dyno'd it with... Those are good enough numbers.

I put a 750 holley on mine, it ran great. it was in my 1972 chevelle, only problem i had was todays ethenal gas rusting the steel gas lines of old days. I replaced them with stainless ones.

im running a holley 750 on my 400ci after years of messing with edlebrocks and quadrajets im finally trouble free. ive learned though carburetors are rarely ever just bolt on. you always have to tune or mess with them. if youre buying the engine from a builder have him give you one that is going to match those specs
