Default 88 Silverado dies

1988 K-5 silverado 5.7L TBI Plow truck parked for summer. now trying to prepair for the winter season. it will start then die in just a few seconds!
I have replaced the cap, rotor, wires, plugs and fuel filter. I can hear the fuel pump come up to pressure when the key is in the on position.
what else should I check?????

*Moved this to 'The Lounge' since it does not concern a Blazer.*

Check the actual fuel pressure, the pump may still be priming but it may not be able to pump the necessary capacity. It may be something as stupid as a corroded contact creating resistance and the pump doesn't run at full output.

Bad gas? Gummed up fuel injectors?

And we can't read your mind. You must include your vehicle information. Listing a trim package without a base model doesn't cut it.

bogs and stops, if I pump the pedal like crazy then she'll cough and spit

when checking the fuel pressure what p.s.i. should I be looking for?
