Default automatic to manual hub swap 83 k5

I am replacing my automatic hubs with some manual hubs today. (83 K5) I am also going to replace the wheel bearings while I am there. Any advice on the spindle bearings, SHould I do that too? Also are there any links that show the procedure in case I get stuck,it's been about 10 years since the last time I did this and it was on a different truck.

you need a special socket to take off the nut to get to the wheel bearing. there are 2 of them if i remember right. wouldn't hurt to check that u-joint on the axle shaft too. a puller will make easy work of it.

Hey thanks for the advice, it helps. I have one side removed and clean and ready to reassemble first thing in the morning. New bearings, grease seal and bearing cups and new Warn premium hubs. The other side should go pretty fast now that I know what I am doing.
